EFInA recognizes the development of a sustainable microfinance industry in Nigeria is critical to achieving financial inclusion and access to finance, especially for the low income segment. The ability of microfinance banks/institutions to effectively provide financial services to the unbanked depends on strengthening their institutional capacity, through the development of management.
EFInA Microfinance Capacity Building Competition
EFInA is pleased to announce that the Microfinance Capacity Building Competition is now open. EFInA will sponsor 3 managers from microfinance banks to attend the 16th Annual Boulder Microfinance Training Program in order to build capacity to expand financial services to the underserved and low income population in Nigeria. The deadline for submission of applications is 6pm on April 30th 2010.
Boulder Microfinance Training Program
Course: Boulder MFT Program: Management Concentration Certificate
Venue: The Boulder Institute of Microfinance, Turin, Italy
Date: July 19 to August 6, 2010
Boulder Microfinance Training Program aims to develop skills that will assist managers to administer institutional practices effectively and efficiently learn proven and cutting edge microfinance techniques to facilitate the provision of quality service to clients.
Sponsored participants will be enrolled in a special intensive management track for Microfinance Managers. Participants will take 65 course hours of management focused courses. At the end of the program, participants will receive the Boulder MFT Certificate that specifies that they have completed the management certificate requirements. In addition, the program features an assortment of round table discussions, panels and presentations organized by faculty and fellow participants.
Who can apply?
EFInA is looking to sponsor microfinance professionals who think strategically and are committed to furthering the industry with innovative, practical methods and techniques.
